Hip Hops Rhythm chronicles the struggle of Rhythm, a grassroots hip-hop artist who attempts to stay relevant as the music atmosphere changes.
He wonders around as a destitute on the street whom reminisces about his life as a newly signed artist to Shotgun Records. His record label, advises him to change his sound. This infuriates Rhythm whom later confronts record executive, Steven about the release of his album. Steven advises Rhythm that the label is currently promoting artist who have a mainstream appeal that generate money. This leads to Rhythm asking to be released from his contract. The contract is shredded and the relationship with the label dissolves.
He sits at an abandoned house recalling an argument between him and his girlfriend, Melody who leaves him. Blacklisted from all the local labels and with no more money Rhythm succumbs to living on the street.
Years later Rhythm encounters his old friend and label mate, Element who gives him a place to stay. Rhythm performs at an event that Element informed him about and introduces him to a former artist in the hip hop industry who wants to bring grassroots hip hop back to the forefront.
